LOCAL MEETING AUDIO BRIDGE FOR macOS

Let AI hear the meeting.Send back only the reply you choose.

Viyv Meeting Bridge routes a selected meeting into your AI voice client and lets you send one explicit AI reply back. It normally stays listen-only. It is not a recording service or a cloud audio relay.

HOW IT WORKS

Two local audio paths, explained in 30 seconds

Keep joining meetings the way you do today. Select the audio devices, then open the AI gate only for the moment you intend.

  1. 01

    Choose meeting audio

Select Zoom, Meet, Teams, another app, or system audio as the source.

  2. 02

    Keep AI listen-only

Viyv Meeting Mic sends meeting audio and an optional physical microphone to AI. AI transmission always starts OFF.

  3. 03

    Speak once

Speak-once waits for AI audio, opens the gate, then closes it after silence or the maximum time.

USE CASES

Keep AI beside the conversation, not inside it as a bot

PRIVATE ASSIST

Hear suggestions privately

Share meeting audio with your chosen AI while keeping its response on your normal Mac output for your ears only.

ONE-SHOT REPLY

Send only the needed answer

Put one explanation, clarification, or demo response on air without adding an always-on AI participant.

LIVE GATES

Switch human and AI instantly

Keep the physical microphone connected while selecting human only, AI only, both, or all muted.

SAFE BY DEFAULT

You decide what goes on air

Starting capture and putting AI on air are separate actions. Launching the app alone captures nothing.

EXPLICIT START

No capture before Start

Confirm consent for each meeting and explicitly start the local route.

AI OFF

AI audio defaults to OFF

Listen-only start, stop, termination, and MCP disconnect all leave the AI gate closed.

AUTO-OFF

One reply closes itself

Start wait, silence grace, and maximum transmit time are bounded so a send cannot remain open.

KILL

Stop AI without dropping your mic

An independent kill control closes AI audio immediately while leaving the physical microphone route intact.

LOCAL MCP

Device-local control, not a network service

Launch the same signed app with --mcp to inspect state, prepare listen-only, start, speak once, kill, stop, and restore over stdio.

Docs
stdio://localhostLOCAL
  • No HTTP listener, LAN port, or cloud MCP
  • No audio samples or transcripts in MCP
  • Single-owner lock rejects duplicate audio owners
  • EOF, cancellation, and termination close AI audio

PRIVACY

A precise boundary around local processing

ON YOUR MAC

What stays inside the bridge

  • Realtime Core Audio routing
  • Temporary taps and aggregate devices
  • Audio buffers in bounded memory
  • Control state over local stdio MCP

AI SERVICE BOUNDARY

What belongs to the selected AI

  • The AI client may send audio to its service
  • Retention and training follow that provider's settings and terms
  • The bridge provides no recording, transcription, or cloud relay
  • Your organization policy takes precedence for sensitive meetings

REQUIREMENTS

Before you install

OS

macOS 14.2 or later

The app uses Core Audio process taps. CPU architecture will be explicit on the public release.

PERMISSIONS

Audio capture and microphone

macOS permission is required for meeting capture and the optional physical microphone.

DRIVER

One-time admin approval

Two user-space AudioServerPlugIns are installed in HAL. No kernel extension is used.

HEADPHONES

Headphones recommended

Open speakers can feed private AI audio back into the physical microphone.

What Meeting Bridge does not do

  • Join meetings or automate Zoom, Meet, or Teams UI
  • Record, transcribe, summarize, synthesize, or recognize speech
  • Identify participants or speakers
  • Keep AI continuously on air by default
  • Leave a Viyv virtual device as the system default output

SETUP

Start every meeting with visible controls

  1. 01

    Install the app and drivers

Move the notarized app from its DMG to Applications, then approve the two audio drivers once.

  2. 02

    Choose the meeting and AI

Select the meeting source, AI app, optional physical microphone, and confirm participant consent.

  3. 03

    Select the virtual inputs

Use Viyv Meeting Mic as the AI input and Viyv Meeting Send as the meeting microphone.

  4. 04

    Start listen-only

Begin with AI OFF, use speak-once only when needed, then Stop to restore the previous input.

Public release validation is still in progress. We do not distribute unsigned builds or Gatekeeper bypass instructions.

FAQ

Common questions

Does it join meetings as a bot?

No. It does not accept invites or control meeting UI. You join normally and select macOS audio devices.

Can AI audio leak just by launching the app?

No. Launching captures nothing, and listen-only starts with the AI gate OFF. Speak-once or separately confirmed continuous mode is required.

Does Viyv store meeting audio?

The bridge has no server, database, or recording feature. Audio passes through bounded local memory. The selected AI client's processing follows its provider's settings and terms.

What about Google Meet in Chrome?

Capture follows macOS processes. Other tabs in the same browser process can sometimes be included, so use a dedicated app or meeting browser context. The tested compatibility table ships after real-meeting E2E.

Can I keep using my microphone while AI speaks?

Yes. The physical microphone and AI gate are independent, supporting human only, AI only, both, and all muted.

Why is the download unavailable?

It remains fail-closed until Developer ID signing, notarization, fresh-Mac Gatekeeper, driver install/update/uninstall, and real Zoom/Meet/Teams tests all pass.
