LOCAL MEETING AUDIO BRIDGE FOR macOS
Viyv Meeting Bridge routes a selected meeting into your AI voice client and lets you send one explicit AI reply back. It normally stays listen-only. It is not a recording service or a cloud audio relay.
The free download opens after signing, notarization, and real-meeting tests pass.
AI transmission starts and normally remains OFF.
HOW IT WORKS
Keep joining meetings the way you do today. Select the audio devices, then open the AI gate only for the moment you intend.
Select Zoom, Meet, Teams, another app, or system audio as the source.
Viyv Meeting Mic sends meeting audio and an optional physical microphone to AI. AI transmission always starts OFF.
Speak-once waits for AI audio, opens the gate, then closes it after silence or the maximum time.
USE CASES
PRIVATE ASSIST
Share meeting audio with your chosen AI while keeping its response on your normal Mac output for your ears only.
ONE-SHOT REPLY
Put one explanation, clarification, or demo response on air without adding an always-on AI participant.
LIVE GATES
Keep the physical microphone connected while selecting human only, AI only, both, or all muted.
SAFE BY DEFAULT
Starting capture and putting AI on air are separate actions. Launching the app alone captures nothing.
EXPLICIT START
Confirm consent for each meeting and explicitly start the local route.
AI OFF
Listen-only start, stop, termination, and MCP disconnect all leave the AI gate closed.
AUTO-OFF
Start wait, silence grace, and maximum transmit time are bounded so a send cannot remain open.
KILL
An independent kill control closes AI audio immediately while leaving the physical microphone route intact.
LOCAL MCP
Launch the same signed app with --mcp to inspect state, prepare listen-only, start, speak once, kill, stop, and restore over stdio.

REQUIREMENTS
OS
The app uses Core Audio process taps. CPU architecture will be explicit on the public release.
PERMISSIONS
macOS permission is required for meeting capture and the optional physical microphone.
DRIVER
Two user-space AudioServerPlugIns are installed in HAL. No kernel extension is used.
HEADPHONES
Open speakers can feed private AI audio back into the physical microphone.
SETUP
Move the notarized app from its DMG to Applications, then approve the two audio drivers once.
Select the meeting source, AI app, optional physical microphone, and confirm participant consent.
Use Viyv Meeting Mic as the AI input and Viyv Meeting Send as the meeting microphone.
Begin with AI OFF, use speak-once only when needed, then Stop to restore the previous input.
Public release validation is still in progress. We do not distribute unsigned builds or Gatekeeper bypass instructions.
FAQ
No. It does not accept invites or control meeting UI. You join normally and select macOS audio devices.
No. Launching captures nothing, and listen-only starts with the AI gate OFF. Speak-once or separately confirmed continuous mode is required.
The bridge has no server, database, or recording feature. Audio passes through bounded local memory. The selected AI client's processing follows its provider's settings and terms.
Capture follows macOS processes. Other tabs in the same browser process can sometimes be included, so use a dedicated app or meeting browser context. The tested compatibility table ships after real-meeting E2E.
Yes. The physical microphone and AI gate are independent, supporting human only, AI only, both, and all muted.
It remains fail-closed until Developer ID signing, notarization, fresh-Mac Gatekeeper, driver install/update/uninstall, and real Zoom/Meet/Teams tests all pass.
